WELCOME BACK!

Can having a Positive Attitude help you be a better Student?

Indeed having a positive attitude can assist students to reach their educational dreams.  Having a positive attitude, whether you are a 3rd year student or 1st year student, will influence the outcome of your studies.  From remembering the tons of information that you will be going through to focusing and absorbing the information that you need for writing your papers and exams.  Having a positive attitude will ensure that you walk through your educational journey with excitement, determination and knowing you will succeed.

Bernadine & Betty Ann

We, the Saddle Lake Post Secondary Staff would like to welcome you all back to another amazing academic year.  We are here “ASSISTING STUDENTS TO ACHIEVE PERSONAL SUCCESS & ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE” and would like to take this opportunity to say “HI” and give you a few quick updates.  As some of you may know that Diana Cardinal is no longer with Saddle Lake Post Secondary team as the Administrative Assistant and we want to thank students for their patience during this transition time.

We would like to acknowledge those students who submitted ALL the necessary documents prior to June 1, 2014, your efforts will be recognized and you will be hearing from us very soon.

We have gone through our Post Secondary Allowance (PSA) process twice without out too many errors.  We want to thank those students who have submitted their Banking Information on time and encourage everyone to do so by before Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

The Knowing Our Spirits Conference is just around the corner and if you are a Post Secondary Student in the Saddle Lake or Edmonton Area, you maybe eligible.  You can start submitting your names for the KOS Conference on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 and will close on Friday, October 31, 2014.  For further details, call Bernadine or Betty Ann at the office during those dates.

One last item is the Back Pack’s, if you are a SLPS Student and have not received a Back Pack, please call the office so that you can make arrangements for pick up.  As always, we encourage students to ensure they have a copy of our Saddle Lake Post Secondary Student Policy Handbook and become familiar with its contents :).

With that, we look forward to another great year and if you have any questions or concerns, please send us an email at bernadinehs@saddlelake.ca or to bettyanncardinal@saddlelake,ca.
