15TH BIENNIAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY ROUND DANCE, FEBRUARY 22, 2013


“Achieving Success Through Education”

It is our pleasure to announce our upcoming Round Dance that is being hosted by the Saddle Lake Education Authority, Human Resource Centre and the Reinvestment Programs.  This Round Dance is to honor all 2011 and 2012 Post Secondary, Human Resource Centre, Reinvestment Program and High School Graduates. 

AGENDA

Saddle Lake Cree Nation Manitou Arena Foyer:

2:00 pm    –    Pipe Ceremony

3:00 pm    –    Ribbon Cutting & Unveiling of the Wall of Recognition

Saddle Lake Cree Nation Ayiwakes Cultural Centre:

5:00 pm    –    Feast

6:00 pm    –    Student Presentations & Round Dance.  Master of Ceremonies for the Round Dance are Eric Tootoosis & Earl Wood. Stickmen are Clarence Ward & Dennis Crane.

AWARDS that will be presented during the Round Dance will be the Saddle Lake Chiefs’, Saddle Lake Councillors’, Peter Cardinal Jr. Memorial and the Joe P. Cardinal Memorial Awards.  These awards will be presented to the recipients for their academic excellence and performance for the last term only prior to program completion.  To qualify, please ensure that your transcripts are submitted to Betty Ann Cardinal, Student Advisor by Friday, February 8, 2013.  Transcripts can be faxed to 780-726-4069 or emailed to bettyanncardinal@saddlelake.ca or slpseducation@gmail.com.

RAFFLE TICKETS will be on sale January 11, 2013.  The prizes are as follows:  1st prize is $1,000; 2nd prize is a 47″ Flat Screen TV; 3rd prize is an IPad; and 4th prize are His and Hers Pendleton Jackets.  Tickets can be purchased at the Saddle Lake Education, Human Resource Centre, and Reinvestment Offices.  The draw will be made at the Round Dance.
