Alberta Health Services (AHS) is proud to expand its partnership with the
Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC) Joint Bursary Partnership
Program by offering a unique bursary opportunity specifically for Aboriginal
students looking to advance their education and work life.
This bursary partnership program matches between $1,000 and $3,000 per
student – to a total of $6,000 per year. The program is intended to assist
with recruiting hard-to-fill positions and meeting future workforce demands
in northern Alberta.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a health care related program of
study at an accredited post-secondary institution, and have a desire to live
and work in northern Alberta for a guaranteed Return of Service – once they
have completed their training.
To apply, students must be of First Nation, Métis or Inuit heritage and able
to provide proof of status upon acceptance of the award.
